We are the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in the state of Illinois and offer specialized inpatient and outpatient behavioral healthcare to children, adolescents, young adults and adults. In addition, we have the only specialized inpatient behavioral health program for adults with an intellectual or developmental disability. We provide clinically distinct care units in a thoughtfully designed setting and offer a full continuum of outpatient behavioral health services. This includes an enhanced discharge process with bridge appointments, group meetings and post-discharge wellness checks all in an effort to deliver meaningful care.

Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital specializes in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Our 110 bed facility is equipped with the latest safety features designed to provide patients with a comfortable environment to receive therapeutic care.

Our therapy modalities are evidence-based models proven to decrease symptoms of mental illness and help patients find lasting change. Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital offers a caring environment with licensed psychiatrists, nurses, therapists and technicians who are dedicated to providing exceptional care for you, a loved one or your client.

Situated in New Lenox, Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital is the newest facility of its kind in the state of Illinois and is a joint venture between Silver Cross Hospital and US HealthVest. A short drive from the metropolitan center of Chicago, Silver Oaks is designed to serve members of the community both near and far.

Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital provides mental health and substance use disorder programming for adolescents to senior adults. Additional specialized programs will be designed based on identified needs in the community.

Silver Oaks provides free screening to help determine the most appropriate level of care to meet each patient’s needs.  The facility accepts calls 24/7.

Chicago Lakeshore Hospital provides treatment services to those struggling with behavioral and co-occurring alcoholism and chemical dependency, as well as including their families and loved-ones as an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team approach. Treatment services include screening, assessment, detox services (where necessary), treatment planning, crisis intervention, consultation, inpatient and outpatient services, education, referrals, and individual and group counseling.

NAMI Living Rooms

The Living Room is a safe place where you can talk with a peer if you are experiencing life’s emotional stresses. The trained peer recovery support specialists use their personal experience to help you find and maintain your recovery.

Services are free of charge. 

Anyone who is 18 and over who is feeling scared, anxious, angry, sad, or just needs someone to talk to. You can walk-in or call ahead.
