Talk and be heard at the SAGE LGBTQ+ Elder Hotline. We connect LGBTQ+ older people who want to talk with friendly responders who are ready to listen. 

  • Be sure to check in with your city hall to see what senior services they offer such as home health care, wellness checks, recreational activities and much more.  

Illinois Department of Aging

The mission of the Illinois Department on Aging is to serve and advocate for older Illinoisans and their caregivers by administering quality and culturally appropriate programs that promote partnerships and encourage independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Aging Well Neighborhood 

Aging Care Connections’ Aging Well Neighborhood program brings together older adults, businesses, and healthcare and social services to create a “Health Neighborhood” that promotes life-long wellness, supports aging at home, addresses chronic conditions, offers health education, and helps build an age-friendly community in Greater Lyons Township.

Age Options

AgeOptions and our partner agencies offer programs and services that make it possible for people to continue to live independently in their homes. These include home-delivered meals, assistance in applying for benefits, falls prevention and other programs to help you take charge of your health, programs to address social isolation and assistance with transportation, housekeeping and more

Solutions for Care

Grandparents Raising Grandkids 

An Illinois Department on aging funded kinship care program that assists grandparents or older adults caring for children ages 18 and younger within the home. Eligibility requirements for GRG program are:

  • Family must live in Berwyn or Cicero IL

  • Biological parents no longer involved in child care

  • Grandparent or other non-parent relative must be 55 years of age or older  

  • Grandparent or other non-parent relative raising a child (who is not more than 18 or who is 19-59 with a disability) may use this service

Caregiver Resource Center 

Solutions For Care is committed to preserving the independence and dignity of all older adults and those living with disabilities, being their advocate, and working to find the best available resources that lead to greater self-sufficiency and a higher quality of life (only services Berwyn and Cicero)
